Hi, I'm Wayne Meggersee
I’m a photographer based in Atlanta, Georgia, specializing in real estate photography. I'm also expanding my portfolio to include headshot photography.
Growing up in Johannesburg, South Africa, I was surrounded by wildlife and breathtaking scenery, which sparked my early interest in photography. My father, a passionate underwater photographer, further fueled my passion for the subject.
My professional journey began in clinical pathology laboratories, where I loved the scientific aspect. However, I yearned for more interaction with people, so I transitioned into medical sales and marketing. This career allowed my family and me to work and live in various countries, including the USA, which we now proudly call home. This diverse experience and immersion in different cultures nurtured my passion for photography. Leading me to formalize my photography skills by graduating from the New York Institute of Photography.
It was during my time photographing for Integrative Touch, a non-profit supporting children, families, and individuals affected by disability, medical issues, or trauma, that I truly realized the profound impact photography could have in telling stories. It was an incredibly rewarding experience that solidified my desire to pursue photography as a career.
In Atlanta, I reached out to a well known real estate photographer and sought his mentorship and guidance. This chance encounter turned out to be the perfect blend of technical challenge and creative outlet. I knew then that real estate photography was my true calling.
My photography skills and commercial experience enable me to understand my clients’ needs and deliver exceptional results with exceptional client service. My focus is building long-term partnerships based on performance, value, and trust.
When I’m not working, I spend time with my family, stay fit, learn new skills like scuba diving, and travel.
